Prenatal Yoga  


Yoga is an excellent way to prepare your mind, body and spirit for childbirth.  The concentration, focus, breathing techniques and strength required for childbirth are all essential elements of yoga.  You will practice Poses to build strength, endurance and relaxation while decreasing the aches, pains and discomforts of pregnancy. Relaxation techniques along with the use of breath and sound will offer you powerful support during your pregnancy.  Prenatal Yoga will help you embrace you innate ability to give birth and begin the journey into motherhood.




Yoga for Birthing and Delivery

This class is the perfect hands-on compliment to childbirth education classes. We weave the traditional science of prenatal yoga movements and positions, breathing, meditation, and relaxation with Doula training, childbirth experience and childbirth educator training, Doctor of Oriental medicine training and Ayurveda.  We inspire you to trust your intuition with strength, peace, courage and harmony as you prepare for birth.  

This workshop will cover  breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation, movements and positions as well as methods of birth partner support for pregnancy, birthing and delivery.



Postnatal Yoga:  Yoga for  New Moms


The Postnatal Yoga series will consist of four classes that will focus on creating a special time to nourish the new mother and encourage the body to tone and come together after opening for pregnancy and childbirth.  throughout the series, you will learn how to create and maintain your own postnatal  yoga home practice.


Class One will introduce breathwork, important lower belly and pelvic floor muscles exercises taught through postnatal yoga poses. We will also explore subtle body alignment while walking, sitting and standing.


In class two, you will learn how postnatal yoga can help ease achy and sore muscles of the shoulder, neck, chest and back by working deeply to open, align and lengthen these areas.


Class Three will focus on "Belly after Baby".    You will learn time tested  yoga poses to strengthen and tone the abdominal and pelvic muscles that have become stretched and weakened after pregnancy and childbirth.


The final class, Class Four, will integrate all aspects of postnatal yoga taught in the previous three classes. We will focus on creating and maintaining a home yoga practice.  You will also learn restorative postnatal yoga poses to relax and nourish you.


Postnatal and Mom and Baby Yoga Workshop



Learn yoga and breathwork poses and principles for a faster postpartum recovery days, weeks and months after birth. Reconnect with your body and your self for optimal  physical and mental strength during this important period  of transition. Also, learn yoga poses to sit in while nursing and holding baby.
