Prenatal Yoga Training

This is a time in a woman's life when she experiences dynamic, physiological and emotional changes. You will gain a thorough understanding of these changes so that you can adjust your instruction for each prenatal student. In this section you will learn how to sequence your prenatal classes and provide alternative variations to students depending on their stage of pregnancy.

This program provides a complete basic foundation in prenatal and early postnatal yoga instruction. You do not need to be a yoga teacher or have a certification to attend. Any style of yoga is welcomed. 

Gain knowledge and confidence in all areas of instruction, including:
• Anatomy and physiology
• Structuring a prenatal/postnatal class, sequencing, general routine of poses and breathing techniques
• Common discomforts of pregnancy
• Fetal position (occiput posterior, breech)
• Normal labor and birth
• Energy and chakra work
• Appropriate technology for birth
• State of health care and birth in the US
• Awakening motherhood
• Early postpartum period including healing from a c-section
• Satsang, chanting, meditation and bhajans

Our unique programs bring awareness and confidence to your pregnancy and birthing. Help yourself enjoy your pregnancy, deepen your connection with your birthing body and baby through intuitive practical tools. 

Explore postures, movements, sound, relaxation, breathwork, and affirmations.  Learn how to use gravity, massage,  acupressure points, coping skills, and partner support. Understand nutrition in pregnancy and birth. We will learn about how environment affects labor as well as movements that will help your baby get in the optimal position for birth. Accept feelings and release fears... because Birth Works!

We always have ample time for discussion. We offer practical preparation that supports your innate wisdom to birth. Whether you are birthing at home, a birth center, or a hospital, this program affirms your birth and empowers you! Standup Paddleboard, Surfing and Yoga Retreat

This class will address some of the specific imbalances that often arise in the body when we engage in intense athletic activities. With the use of props we will explore various yoga poses that will help strengthen and open all areas of the body. By improving alignment and increasing range of motion the body can move and perform with greater ease, reducing the risk of injury.


Come with us and enjoy the warm Pacific Ocean water and a fresh water beachside lagoon. Wake up every morning to a beautiful ocean vista at our private beachfront lodging, Casa dos Peces!

You will be introduced to SUP and Surfing in the perfectsetting taught by experienced instructors. Afterwards, refresh daily with a yoga at our inspiring Yoga del Pacifico right on the ocean! February is a special time of the year to observe sea life; the whales are migrating, the dolphins playing and the sea turtles are coming in to the beach.

After completing the basic Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) and Surf lessons, enjoy the opportunity to get more experience on either SUP or Surf boards. There will be ample time to rest and introspect or partake in activities or adventours. Enjoy swimming, bogey boarding, sea kayaking on the lagoon, bird watching, walking on the beach and much more.

This class is for all athletes and teaches a balance of yoga asanas, meditative-breathwork and deep relaxation. Body-based mindfulness has a profound effect on sports performance and enjoyment. Experience increased recovery time, better sleep and stress-reduction. Improve alignment, stability and increase range of motion helping you move with greater ease, reducing the risk of injury and helping you enjoy a lifetime of sport and fun!
